In March 2022 we made changes to the availability of eConsult to try and manage the ongoing demand for appointments.
With pressures continuing and increased patient feedback the eConsult system is not meeting patient needs, we have taken the decision to streamline our contact options for our surgeries.
This means that to book a GP appointment patients should contact us by telephone.
By streamlining our contact methods, we hope to better manage the flow of appointments, while we continue to audit how we operate access and work with our Clinical Commissioning Group on a review of all elements of digital access to primary care.
All our digital services are still available on our website and via the NHS App, such as ordering repeat prescriptions. You can also still access the self-help information on a wide range of conditions via the eConsult system and can of course also come into the practice to discuss any immediate care needs with our team.
We are still focused on patients with urgent medical issues and the team are also able to book a limited number of planned routine appointments subject to capacity, as well as nursing and blood appointments.
Phone lines are open Monday to Friday between 8am-6.30pm. We appreciate your support in keeping the phone lines open for those who are very unwell and need urgent care.
If you struggle to get through on the phone at peak times, there may be too many people in the queue in front of you not allowing you to dial in. If your problem is not urgent, please use our digital functions on our website, or ring back when the lines are less busy.
Our focus remains on seeing patients with the highest priority medical problems in our community and anyone that needs urgent clinical care will be seen.
